Emily Krushefski

Emily Krushefski has always been fascinated by the behavior of people. She lived in a variety of places throughout the Midwest and South during her childhood and adolescence. Emily earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago in 1998. After moving to Bozeman in 1998, she worked in the foster care system, initially providing case management and later, therapy for clients as well as professional supervision to staff. Upon becoming a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in June of 2000, she moved exclusively into private practice in 2002.
Therapy is tailored specifically to the temperament and goals of each person. Emily listens closely to her clients in order to completely understand presenting concerns and then demonstrates persistence in attempting to find skills or options that will be helpful in meeting individuals’ needs.
In order to provide clients with the highest possible quality of care, Emily places a premium on her own continuing education and personal growth. She is highly trained in Attachment, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, she specializes in chronic trauma, self-harm, dissociation, general emotional development and improved self-knowledge.
